- Popsicles at lunch for every student who has an active donation page by Monday, September 14th
- A bracelet for every student who has received any pledges on their donation page by Friday, September 18
- A backpack charm for every student who has received at least $50 in pledges on their donation page by Friday, September 25
Students who are collecting donations in envelopes will also be eligible for bracelets and backpack charms if they have met the prize earning thresholds after their envelopes are turned in.

What is Jog-a-thon?
One big day of CELEBRATION! In the weeks leading up to the event, McKinley and PACS students seek out pledges and donations from family and friends. When the big day comes, students challenge themselves alongside their classmates to complete as many laps around the school field as they can, walking, jogging, or running at whatever pace feels right.
To keep the spirit flowing, students get decked out in a custom grade-color Jog-a-thon t-shirt and “flair” (tattoos, face paint, hair color, glitter, you name it). Families come out to cheer, buddy classes show up to support each other, and we pump the music and bring the joy. Jog-a-thon is a day of community building and fun in support of our entire school!
Last year, our community raised over $65,000. Let’s see if we can beat that this year!
Where your support goes
Funds we raise through Jog-a-thon are critical to running our school. PTA funds pay for:
- A PE program that gives students a great experience and teachers more time for lesson prep.
- Educational field trips, assemblies, and a classroom fund for every McKinley and PACS teacher providing critical materials and special project support.
- Our Performing Arts program, after-school enrichment scholarships, and our beautiful school garden.
- Community-building events such as popsicles at Meet the Teacher, our beloved annual Winter Fest in December, and Field Day on the last day of school!
The funds that families raise for Jog-a-thon are an investment in this school year. They are an investment in each student, TK through 8th, and their success and sense of belonging at PACS and McKinley. Every dollar we raise will go toward upholding our school mission to grow scholars who think critically, who celebrate diversity, and who advocate to make the world a better place.
