General Rehearsal Days/Times
- November 2026– February 2027 rehearsals: Wednesdays 1:20–4:00pm & Fridays 3:20-5pm (Not all actors called to all rehearsals)
- Off Book Date (when all lines, choreography, and blocking should be memorized): February 2027
- Tech Week Rehearsals: February 2027
- Performance Dates: March 2027
Auditions and Tech Crew Information
To schedule an audition on November 9th, please fill out the Performing Arts Enrollment Form here.
Once we receive your completed form, you will receive an invitation to the audition Sign Up Genius. Enrollment will be open until Sunday, November 6th, 2022. Please make sure you fill out your form by November 6th to ensure you can be given an audition slot.
To sign up for McKinley Performing Arts Backstage Tech/Crew, please fill out the form here. Crew is open to Grades 4-8.
Auditions are open to McKinley/PACS students in Grades 1-8. Everyone who auditions will need to choose one song from the list below to sing for their initial audition on 11/9. Please be at least generally familiar with the other songs as well for the Callbacks. Depending on the number of performers auditioning on 11/9, everyone may not be required to attend Callbacks. Everyone who auditions will be cast in Shrek Jr., but we may need to call some performers back on 11/16 to see exactly where they would fit best in our show.
Please find a list of Shrek Jr. characters with description here. If you have been part of or seen a McKinley show in the past, you will know that we always add some extra magic and extra roles into our shows, so this is the short list of characters but not all the roles that will be available.
